Auch wenn das Thema ernst ist, musste ich beim Anblick dieser Seite doch schmunzeln:

Da hatte wohl jemand vergessen, die Bildunterschrift zu ändern und einfach den Agenturhinweis ins CMS übernommen. Skurrilerweise besagte dieser:
ACHTUNG REDAKTIONEN: DER ABGEBILDETE MINDERJÄHRIGE MUSS BEI VERÖFFENTLICHUNG UNKENNTLICH GEMACHT WERDEN!
Woran die Online-Redakteure von Welt.de sich offensichtlich nicht gehalten haben. Die Bildunterschrift ist übrigens mittlerweile geändert, der abgebildete Marco aber weiterhin zu erkennen. Ich frage mich, warum sich eigentlich fast kein Medium an diese Unkenntlichmachung hält, wenn die Bildagenturen schon explizit darauf hinweisen. So schwer ist das mit den Balken oder Pixeln doch nicht?! Und Marcos Nachname dürfte mittlerweile auch überall bekannt sein, weil es einige Spezialisten nicht schaffen, ihn konsequent zu anonymisieren.

Nachtrag: Die Herrschaften von welt.de haben kurzerhand die offen zugängliche Kommentarfunktion bei diesem Artikel herausgenommen und natürlich alle Kommentare zu dem "kleinen Fehlerchen" gelöscht. So einfach geht das bei der Welt - aber das wussten wir ja schon vorher. :D

Seit gestern sollte ich ein Probeabo der Frankfurter Rundschau im Briefkasten haben. Stattdessen lachte mich heute schon zum zweiten Mal die Süddeutsche Zeitung an. Stellt sich mir die Frage: WARUM? Ist die politische Richtung der FR in Trier unerwünscht? Passt das kleinere Format nicht in die Tasche des Zeitungsboten? Will mir vielleicht irgendjemand einen Gefallen tun und mir meine bisherige Lieblingszeitung zeitlebens kostenlos zustellen? Ist die FR nicht lieferbar und der Zeitungsbote sieht die SZ als adäquaten Ersatz an? Oder will die SZ mich um jeden Preis als Abonnentin zurückgewinnen?

Ich habe wirklich nichts gegen die SZ. Bevor ich nach Schweden gegangen bin, hatte ich sie mehr als zwei Jahre lang abonniert. Der Inhalt und die Aufmachung gefallen mir sehr gut, es gibt nur zwei kleine Mankos: das Format und den Preis. Also habe ich mir überlegt, doch mal die kleinere FR auszuprobieren. Und jetzt lässt man mich nicht. Ich habe überlegt mich zu beschweren. Aber bei wem? Drei Möglichkeiten sind mir eingefallen:

• Ich könnte morgens ab ca. 4 Uhr dem Zeitungsboten auflauern, denn er hat das Problem ja augenscheinlich verursacht. - Problem: Definitiv zu früh!

• Ich könnte beim SZ-Aboservice anrufen und sie darauf hinweisen, dass ich ihre Zeitung nicht bestellt habe. - Problem: Ich lese zu gerne SZ!

• Ich könnte beim FR-Aboservice anrufen und sie fragen, wo das Probeabo bleibt. - Problem: Die rufen doch sowieso mal an und fragen nach dem Abo. Wieso sollte ich also?

Ich werde also abwarten und Tee trinken - und einfach die Zeitung lesen, die ich morgens im Briefkasten finde.

Today, I read in the newspaper that you can travel from Trier to Metz in France without changing the train. The trip takes less than 90 min. To Luxemburg, it takes less than an hour. If you go for a day trip on a weekend you can take the so called SaarLorLux-Ticket. It costs 18 Euros for the first person and 9 Euros for additional persons (up to 5 people can travel on the same ticket). I think that's a nice new option for a day trip. Who's coming with me to discover Metz and Luxemburg? Come on, Erasmus travellers everyone, you're invited to the Grande Région! :-)

Did I write about climate matters yesterday? Here's the result:



This is what my beloved Predigerstraße looked like about 40 minutes ago. Shame on it and on all my flights to the North and back. :S At least, the water hasn't flooded our basement so far - knock on wood!

The answer is: NO. In the last ten months I've been flying five times to Stockholm and back. These flights caused about 3300 kg CO2-emission. That is already more than the "annual budget" of CO2-emission a single person has. I'm a bit ashamed of that but apart from flying I try to live ecofriendly - really! Are you climate-friendly? Good luck for Roger Cicero tonight in Helsinki! I'm watching the former Grand Prix d'Eurovision in memory of funny days and nights on the ferry to Finland - and crazy Finnish hardrock fans. :D If Germany loses again I'll take it with a smile and as another entertaining lecture about what we call "Europe".

Of course, we somehow were the losers. But now it's so long ago that no one ever speaks about it. And next year, we will have the same desaster including the discussion afterwards. Let's take it with a smile! :-)

Today I got my freshly printed booklet with a selection of my pictures from Stockholm. I'm quite happy with it. Everyone has to see my pictures now. :-) Unfortunately, the quality is not the very best for the bunch of money I paid. There are white pixels at the margins of the pictures, and that's totally unprofessional. Arrgh. However, the booklet is good enough to show around and give others an impression of what I did and what it looked like in Stockholm and on my beloved Campus Solna.
